Jim Quivey
I'm Jim Quivey, a carpenter and builder based in Glens Falls, New York.
For more than a decade, I've worked on residential construction projects throughout the Saratoga and Lake George region and the Greater Boston area. Along the way, I've served as a carpenter, superintendent, project planner, and construction manager, but I've always enjoyed helping homeowners turn ideas into finished projects.
Over the years, I've worked on everything from repairs and renovations to custom homes. Those experiences taught me that successful projects are about more than construction alone. They require clear communication, thoughtful planning, and a realistic understanding of what's possible.
That's why I started Hemlock & Granite.
My goal is simple: provide homeowners with honest guidance, quality workmanship, and a straightforward path from idea to completion. Whether you're considering a repair, renovation, kitchen remodel, bathroom renovation, addition, or another home improvement, you'll work directly with me from the first conversation through the final walkthrough.
I believe the best projects begin with listening. Understanding how you use your home, what challenges you're trying to solve, and what success looks like helps create a clear plan.
When I'm not on a jobsite, you'll usually find me outside, on the water, or working on my old house.
